Neat as a New Pin (apologies for the pun!)

I got my sewing machine out again to make this card, from a sketch which I saw in a craft mag.

The paper is K & Co, and the card is Bazzill - these are my default settings, I think! I must be getting craft dependent, though, because I was just looking at Tilda and wishing my hair was as neat as hers!

I'm quite pleased with the pin, which I made myself from a florist's crystal headed pin and some old beads. Lots of Stickles and blooms finish it off.

Oh phew - back to cute! This is a card for my friend Sarah's little girl, who will be seven in the next few days!

The image is from the Pixie Chicks range and I think it's gorgeous! Fairies with attitude - what's not to like?

The card is Core'dinations and the backing paper is Papermania Capsule collection in aqua. I also used some Grungeboard swirls, which I glammed up a bit with ink and Stickles.

Not a Tilda!

Well, it had to happen! Sooner or later, I was going to need to make a card which didn't have a cutesy image on the front. This was a request from my daughter for a card for her friend, Ronan, who is a musician and singer, and therefore, probably wouldn't like cute and/or bunny hugs! Just to make matters worse, my printer cartridge ran out, so I couldn't print anything. Doesn't that always happen just at the worst possible moment?

In the end, I cannibalised my favourite Celtic Art Tarot Cards, and used Bazzill card and paper from K & Co. The image itself signifies choices in life and paths open, which I thought was quite inspiring.

I hope it wouldn't have been better with Tilda!

It's another Tilda - can there ever be too many Tildas? - and another easel card... The paper and matching blossoms are Papermania capsule collection and the base cardstocks are Bazzill.

Susie & Vicki's Christmas Challenge #7 Hot Chocolate

This card is for Susie and Vicki's Christmas Challenge, over at www.dcdchristmasclub.blogspot.com, which this week is "Hot Chocolate". I can't tell you how long I tried to think of something to do with the 1970s band, but luckily, I failed!

Image: Penny Black, Brimming with Love, coloured with watercolour pencils framed with Nellie Snellen oval die cut

Flowers: Prima, glammed up a bit with Stickles and beads

and as usual, I seem to have sewed everything down!

First Easel Card

I always want to try new things, but I'm afraid I'm guilty of sticking to the same old rut, but I just had to give an easel card a go (thank you Karen for suggesting it!).

The image is one of the Bella Images by Pink Petticoat (can't remember which as someone kindly gave it to me), framed with a Nellie Snellen oval. Paper is Pheobe (I always have to check the spelling of that word and I'm sure one of us has spelt it wrong!) by Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzill. All flowers are Prima and the beads are some of those things I've had kicking around for ages. The sentiment is a Wholly Cow rub on.

It's incredibly difficult to photograph this card, even for someone with any skill, which you all know that I don't have, but I had a lot of fun making it!

Susie & Vicki's Christmas Club Challenge

They told me that this would get addictive, so here I am with my second challenge entry!

This is my entry for Susie and Vicki's Christmas Club challenge "Girly Christmas". I really appreciate the idea of making Christmas cards every week and avoiding the rush in December. It's a great idea, ladies, and I hope to keep up!
